Why Achill?

Achill Island has some of the loveliest Blue-Flag quality rated beaches in Ireland which are easily accesible to all abillity of fisherman. You can find a spot to fish at any time of the year, even if the best sandy beaches are filled with holidaymakers there are rocky foreshores and outcrops aplenty to choose from. There are also numerous Piers and harbours that are worthy of throwing a line from, but please remember that these harbours and piers are working places and although look empty they can be needed at anytime by both emergency services and incoming boats. Click here to go to our popular places to fish advice pages.

Please do not discard your snagged lines/hooks etc as we like to promote our hobby and look after the enviroment here. Just leave the place as you find it. Better still, why not set an example and take others rubish home with you if you are unlucky enough to find some!
